Art That Gives Back
The LSPA Scholarship Collection is a new annual tradition that brings together local art, LSPA history, and the opportunity to help a student experience the performing arts.
Each year, LSPA will invite a local artist to create an original work inspired by a piece of our story. Together, these works will form a growing visual collection that celebrates LSPA through the eyes of artists in our community, while raising funds to make arts education more accessible to students.
The 2026 Collection
For the inaugural 2026 Scholarship Collection Series, local artist Steve Close created an original painting featuring the LSPA building, a place that has welcomed generations of performers, students, families, teachers, and audiences.
The painting serves as the first piece in what we hope will become a treasured annual collection documenting the people, places, and moments that make LSPA special. A limited edition of just 30 professionally matted prints has been created from the original artwork. Each print is individually signed and numbered by the artist and marked.
As part of the 2026–2027 LSPA Scholarship Drive, the first 30 donors who contribute $500 or more will receive one of these limited-edition signed and numbered prints. Once the 30 prints are claimed, this first edition will be complete, making each one part of the beginning of a new LSPA tradition.
Help Us Reach $15,000
Our goal for the 2026–2027 Scholarship Drive is $15,000, with every dollar helping provide financial assistance for students who may otherwise be unable to participate in LSPA classes and programs.
Every gift matters.
Donors who contribute $100 or more will also receive recognition on the LSPA website and in LSPA programs throughout the season.
Give a Student the Chance to Step In
For some students, performing arts training can be the beginning of a lifelong passion or career. For others, it becomes the place where they find confidence, friendship, discipline, creativity, and a sense of belonging.
Support the 2026 Scholarship Collection and help ensure that financial circumstances never determine whether a student gets the chance to participate.
