Skye Blevins has been immersed in the world of dance since the age of two and began teaching at just 16, driven by a deep passion for sharing the art form with dancers of all ages. She trained for sixteen years with the LaFayette Society for Performing Arts, studying under Amy Carter Orr, Terrell Paulk, Nancy Gell, Karen Hodnette, and Miriam Oropeza. Her comprehensive training spans ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, and modern. Skye has performed numerous principal roles, including “The Sugar Plum Fairy” in The Nutcracker, the title role in Cinderella, and “The Sea Witch” in The Little Mermaid.
Her dedication to growth and excellence led her to attend several prestigious summer intensives on scholarship, including Atlanta Ballet under John McFall in 2010, Montgomery Ballet with Elie Lazar in 2011, Georgia Governor’s Honors Program under Dawn Axam in 2012, and Texas Ballet Theater under Ben Stevenson in 2013.
Currently based in Atlanta, Skye teaches ballet, contemporary, and jazz to students of all ages. She is known for her warm, energetic teaching style and her commitment to fostering a lifelong love of dance in her students. Skye stepped back into the studio as an instructor for LSPA starting in 2024. She has also taught with The Studios Dance Atlanta (2018-2020), The Studios Brookhaven (2024-2025), Academy of Ballet (2024-2025) and the North Georgia Dance and Music Factory (2024-2025). She continues to guest teach with Dance Tech and Talent and Fleetwood Dance Center. Beyond the studio, she serves on the Board of Directors for Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre, where she also launched and leads the young patrons membership program, Young Terminators.
A proud Georgia Tech alumna, Skye holds a B.S. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and an MBA. She lives in Atlanta with her husband, Tyler, and maintains strong ties to her roots in LaGrange through her continued involvement with the LaGrange Ballet and LaFayette Dance Company—which she holds dear and continues to support with both her time and expertise.
