The Art of Puppetry for Film and Stage 2025

Learn the secrets and unique techniques behind bringing puppet characters to life for film and television and work together to create dynamic stage puppetry moments that date back more than 100 years. Students will receive their own puppet to take home at the conclusion of camp, and we’ll end our week with a special filmed performance showcasing the magic and silliness of the art of puppetry!

Lafayette Theatre Academy’s Avery Jones is a professional puppeteer. He performed “Slappy” in the Goosebumps movies and appeared in several episodes of Sesame Street. As a puppet designer and builder, he has created hundreds of puppet characters for theatres and performers around the world.
