Donald Davis Storytelling Workshop

You are invited to the Hills & Dales Estate in LaGrange, Georgia to join Donald Davis July 7-14, 2024, for a weeklong adventure in story discovery and personal fun. 2024 marks the ninth year of the LaGrange Storytelling Week. Check out hillsanddales.org for location information.

Each day we will work together to learn and explore our own unordered attics of personal memories and gradually learn to organize what we find into potential story material. Our formal work time will be four to five hours each day.

The remainder of each day will be spent in various group activities together, including some meals, opportunities to tell our own stories, walking, and exploring the gardens of Hills & Dales Estate, and some personal free time. All events are part of our learning experience together.

Housing will be in the dorms of LaGrange College, a Methodist college, contiguous to Hills & Dales Estate. Participants will have their own bedroom and bath and share a sitting area/kitchen with another workshop participant. We will follow the health guidelines of CDC, LaGrange College, and Hills & Dales Estate. As the date of the workshop approaches, all participants will be notified of housing and items needed for the dorm.
