Volunteer For Dance

Be an ambassador of dance with the Lafayette Dance Guild through volunteerism. Members of LDG help spread the joy of dancing through community outreach, assistance in production tasks and fundraising. Guild members can choose from a wide variety of opportunities including but not limited to ushering, prop and set construction and refurbishment, hospitality, sewing, backstage assistance, T-shirts, set/props/costuming transportation to and from theater venues, set up and strike at performances, boutique, flower sales, concessions, luncheon/ teas, special events and much more. Proceeds from fundraising help provide scholarships, help provide assistance with field trips, help with hospitality for guest performing and teaching artists, help provide occasional live musical accompaniment for classes, help defray the costs of master classes and workshops and assist with special events and activities for dancers. Parents who are active in the guild may qualify for partial scholarships for their older dancers in summer programs.
