Held the first weekend in March each year in LaGrange, Georgia, the Azalea Storytelling Festival (ASF) keeps the art of storytelling alive and vibrant, provides a high quality family event and is an integral part of the community’s goal to make Troup County an arts destination. The Festival draws approximately 2,500 people each year, with almost 200 patrons attending from 23 states and several foreign countries.
Founded in 1997, the ASF has become a model of community organization, cooperation, and collaboration, and continues to see some of Georgia’s and the nation’s premier storytellers on its stage. The organizations, which support this superb event, are the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Development Authority, West Georgia Technical College, Kimberly-Clark, the Troup County School System, LaGrange Tourism Bureau, and LaGrange College.
