The main character of this comedic drama is an imaginative teenage girl who is battling Cystic Fibrosis (CF), a rare, genetic disease that progressively limits the ability to breathe.  Star, a passionate Beatles fan, confronts her fate with imagination and a hopeful spirit.  John Lennon & Me deals the emotions surrounding new friendships, first kisses, and the tough realities of disease.

In addition to winning the Georgia Theatre Conference’s 2018 Overall Community Play Festival Award, the cast of John Lennon and Me was awarded Best Actress (Annah Lee), Best Director (Amy McDow), and Spirit of the Road (for backstage cooperation and spirit).  The cast is now preparing for competition at the Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC) in Knoxville on March 1st.   John Lennon and Me was originally performed in May of 2017 as part of the LTC mainstage season and has been cut to a one hour performance for competition.
