Kemp's Dalton West Flooring presents "The Giver," Eric Coble's stage adaption of Lois Lowry's Newbery-Award-winning book. The futuristic community where Jonas lives is an idyllic, precisely choreographed world without conflict, inequality, divorce, unemployment, injustice…or choice. When he becomes the new Receiver of Memories, his training opens his mind to the world as it used to exist - memories of violence and fear, but also of joy and love. Together, Jonas and the Giver come up with a plan that will change their world forever. Join us for this multi-media presentation as we follow Jonas’ journey from a place of sameness…to elsewhere.
