Born and raised in Richmond, VA; Brandon Penn began his dance training at the Pine Camp Cultural Arts Center in Richmond, VA where he studied with Annette Holt, Rodney Williams, Willie Hinton and Talita Jackson while studying a broad range of different dance styles. He was later enrolled into the School of Richmond Ballet where he was given the opportunity to study under Igor Antanov, Malcolm Burn, Judy Jacob. After spending three years at the Richmond Ballet school, Mr. Penn was accepted into the trainee program at Richmond Ballet his senior year of high school at Appomattox Regional Governor's School. After graduating and completing a year as a trainee, Brandon spent one year at the State University of New York at Purchase College Conservatory for Dance. There studied under Larry Clark, Taryn Russell, Ted Kivitt while broadening his exposure to dance. After spending a year in NY, Mr. Penn was offered a position into the Atlanta Ballet Fellowship Ensemble. Atlanta Ballet's fellowship ensemble is where he currently trains in hopes of being promoted to an apprentice.
