Beth Knight, a lifelong resident of Troup County, began her dance and gymnastics training at the age of three under the direction of Mrs. Julia Hope Johnson. In her formative years she also studied under Diane Autrey, Debbie Bordona and Jennie Gordy. During high school Beth danced competitively and was a LaGrange High School Competition Cheerleader. At the NCA Cheer Camp in 1990, she was selected as an All American Cheerleader out of hundreds of hopefuls. During high school and college Beth traveled extensively attending numerous Master Dance intensives including The Jazz Dance World Congress in Chicago, Dance Masters of America in Orlando, Tremaine in Atlanta and Rad Tap Intensive with Rosie Radiator in San Francisco. At Auburn University she was a 4 year member of the gymnastics club, Gymkhana. After graduating from Auburn in 1995 with a degree in Marketing, Beth began her career as a choreographer and dance instructor.
In 2001, Beth’s passion and commitment to the performing arts led her to open Techniques School of Dance and Gymnastics. Over a period of 16 years, Beth created, produced, and directed the Christmas Productions “Winter Wonderland” (2007-2010) and “Christmas Extravaganza” (2011-2016) and many spring productions while leading the Techniques Competition Dance Teams to multiple Southeast Region first place overall wins. In 2017 Beth accepted the position of Competition Dance Coordinator at Lafayette Center for Dance. Beth and her husband Keenan have three children, Kelsey, Megan and Andrew.
