As the Marketing Director for LSPA, Amy McDow relies on her artistic skills to promote all of the LSPA organizations that are dedicated to enriching our community through the arts she loves. Through her roles as the Lafayette Theatre Academy's Director and as an academy instructor, Amy is always thrilled to see students rewarded by the self-confidence, creativity, team-work, life-skills and many other benefits that come with participation in the theatre.
Though her primary profession has been in the visual arts, as a photographer and graphic designer, she has dedicated most of her time to advocating art education, promoting individual artists, and providing artistic opportunities for local communities. In the area of performing arts, her titles have included producer, director, writer, actress, stage manager, and more for over 40 productions in our region.
During its first full year, Amy worked with over 50 LTA students and gained media attention throughout Georgia and Alabama when their production of I Never Saw Another Butterfly was presented at Atlanta’s Breman Jewish Heritage and Holocaust Museum.
